Practice safe sets forfeited to Bumpin' Uglies.
THE CREW forfeited to HERS Under 40.
The Crew and Pink Socks at the Top
The season was running perfectly until last night! The CREW and PRACTICE SAFE SETS were unable to make their scheduled games, so the first forfeits of the season were handed out. BUMPIN UGLIES and HERS UNDER 40 took the wins.

The PINK SOCKS won their first two games, but then the AA TEAM got their act together and won the next games to even out the match. PINK SOCKS is the only team left without a loss on the season. AA TEAM moves to (1-1-2).

WILL WORK FOR SETS took care of the TWO BUMP CHUMPS to end their winning streak. WWFS won the first two games pretty easily. TBC made the third game close but still lost. But they were able to pull out the 4th game. WWFS goes to (2-2). TBC drops to (2-2).

Pink Socks Remain Undefeated
PRACTICE SAFE SETS took down WILL WORK FOR SETS. WILL WORK won the first game, but then lost three in a row-all the scores being 15-9.

AA TEAM swept the BUMPIN UGLIES. UGLIES were coming off a big victory, but they must have had some tired themselves out with the celebration party.

PINK SOCKS remained undefeated with a 3-1 victory over HERS UNDER 40. UNDER 40 has had a pretty difficult season so far with only one win-and that was a forfeit. PINK SOCKS improve to (3-0-3).

It's Getting Gritty
THE CREW and the AA TEAM went at it last night. Both teams took turns beating each other. The match was ended at 2-2. These are some dead-locked teams. They came into the night with identical records and left with identical records.

The TWO BUMP CHUMPS defeated HERS UNDER 40 by a 3-1 score. UNDER 40 won the third game to make the 4th one matter, but the CHUMPS put it away. TBC is now (4-2) on the season and in second place.

The BUMPIN UGLIES rebounded off of their poor performance last week. They went toe-to-toe with the first place PINK SOCKS. They were able to win the first game 17-15 and then the last one to even up the series at 2-2. The tie doesn’t hurt the SOCKS at all; they’re still in first place with 9 ranking points.

WILL WORK FOR SETS and PRACTICE SAFE SETS faced each other for the second week in a row. But this week, it was WILL WORK getting the 3-1 victory. The win helps propel WILL WORK into 5th place. Only one week left until playoffs!

Pink Socks Win Regular Season
The last games of the regular season were played on Wednesday. TWO BUMP CHUMPS were able to pull out the tie with the first place PINK SOCKS. The PINK SOCKS ended the regular season without losing a match. But they did have more ties (4) than wins (3). TWO BUMP CHUMPS ended in second place with a (4-2-1) record. These two teams could see each other again on October 28.

HERS UNDER 40 tied WILL WORK FOR SETS. WWFS ended the regular season in fifth place while UNDER 40 ended in 8th.

BUMPIN UGLIES got a big win over the CREW. THE CREW finished in third place, so a win by the sixth place BUMPIN UGLIES should give them the confidence they’ll need going into the playoffs. These two teams will start the playoffs off against each other!

PRACTICE SAFE SETS swept the AA TEAM. This was their third win of the season, but they’re still only in seventh place. There isn’t much difference from teams 3-7. It should make for a great playoff!

The playoff format will be a best of five series with games going to 11, cap at 13.

Hurry up and register for the Zombie Kickball Tournament on October 25, 2015 at Barnum Park. There will be prizes for the best costumes as well as a pig roast at the Classic Tavern after the game.

Pink Socks Advance
The first round of playoffs are in the book. Due to the lack of sunlight, games were played to eleven. The number one seed, PINK SOCKS, took on the 8th seeded HERS UNDER 40. UNDER 40 won the second game to even the match up at 1-1. But the SOCKS wouldn’t fool around anymore. They would win the third and fourth games to take the match.

In the two vs. seven matchup, PRACTICE SAFE SETS took on the TWO BUMP CHUMPS. The CHUMPS never could get a good rhythm going because of the shortened games. They won the second game but couldn’t get anything going after that. The seventh seed took the victory.

The sixth place BUMPIN UGLIES gave everything they had against the third ranked CREW. The UGLIES took games 1 and 2 in extra points. They only needed one more to win the match, but the CREW battled back and won games 3, 4, and 5-true Blue Jay fashion.

In the 4 vs 5 matchup, the fourth ranked AA TEAM took down WILL WORK FOR SETS. WILL WORK won game two but wouldn’t win anything else. So , the AA TEAM will advance to play the PINK SOCKS next week.

Next week the second and third round will be played at Jackie Robinson Field #2. The lights will be on! Games will start at 6:50pm.

Hurry up and register for the Zombie Kickball Tournament on October 25, 2015 at Barnum Park. There will be prizes for the best costumes as well as a pig roast at the Classic Tavern after the game.

AA Team Sobers up for Championship
It was a nice championship night to end the season. With temperatures around the 50’s and no wind, players were dressed warm to start, but quickly shed their layers once the games started heating up. In one semifinal, it was the first seed Pink Socks taking on number four AA Team. The Pink Socks didn’t waste any time and won their first game 15-7. But things turned south quickly. AA edged them out in game two 15-13. From then on, AA pretty much dominated the last two games to take the match 3-1 and advance to the championship.

In the other semifinal, number three ranked The Crew took on seventh ranked Practice Safe Sets. This match was just like the other one. The Crew won the first game easily at 15-11. The second game was also close, 17-15 in favor of PSS. After that, PSS took the next two games to win the match 3-1 and advanced to the championship.

So in the championship, it was the 4th seeded AA Team taking on 7th seeded Practice Safe Sets. You couldn’t ask for a better first game. Both teams went back and forth until it was PSS winning in extra points 16-14. The AA team battled back in the second game to win 15-10 and to even the series up. The third game was also a nail-biter, and it was PSS winning again in extra points 16-14. With their backs against elimination, AA Team stepped their game up. They dominated the fourth game 15-5 to force a deciding game five. AA Team was able to keep their momentum and win the last game and claimed the championship with a 15-11 score.
Thanks everybody for the great season. Please check back for indoor leagues!
