SNT Stays on Top
All four teams showed up for a drizzly night of volleyball. SNT remains at the top of the standings after this week’s results. They took on the WILDCATS. SNT wasted little time. They took the first two games, keeping the WILDCATS from reaching double digits. The third game was a little closer but SNT would take that one as well. In an amazing game, the tables were turned and the WILDCATS got on a roll. They easily won the last game 15-3 to prevent the sweep.

CONSENSUAL SETS was back after they took their sabbatical last week. They were a little rusty in the first game, losing 15-11 against the APRICOT PAJAMAS. But they bounced back, winning the next three games to take the match. They will need to wait until May 27th to see if they can reclaim the top from SNT.

Consensual Sets Overtake Wildcats
It was a cold drizzly day for volleyball. In hindsight, these games should have been canceled. But we played them anyway and we’re now stronger for it! The Wildcats only had three players show up, but it was still enough to be competitive. They won their first game over the CONSENSUAL SETS 15-5. But the next three games wouldn’t be in their favor, as they lost the next three games by two-three points each. With the win, CONSENSUAL SETS are still in second place with their lone loss being their forfeit. The WILDCATS are now in third place with a (1-2-2) record.

In the other match, SNT took down the APRICOT PAJAMAS. They won the first game 15-13, lost the second game 15-13, and then won the next two pretty easily. SNT remains undefeated at (3-0-2) and sits at the top of the standings. The APRICOT PAJAMAS are still looking for their first win.

Rumble in the J...Curtis Park
The APRICOT PAJAMAS and the WILDCATS were going at it like boxers. The WILDCATS took the first game 15-12 and then the APRICOT PAJAMAS returned with a 15-12 knockout of their own. Game three would go back to the WILDCATS with a score of 15-10. With their backs upon the ropes, the PAJAMAS again replied with a 15-11 win to even the match up at 2-2.

On the other court, SNT remained undefeated with a 3-1 win over the CONSENSUAL SETS. Just like in the other match, both teams took turns winning. In the fourth game, the 17 point cap rule was disregarded to get a ‘true’ winner. The CONSENSUAL SETS were supposed to win if history was going to keep repeating itself. But they had too many blunders and lost 19-17 and lost the match 3-1. Despite phenomenal play by CONSENSUEL SETS’ Brian Garey, SNT just had too much talent as a team. With the win, SNT still remains undefeated, can they hold it off through the regular season?

The Apricot Pajamas forfeited to Consensual Sets.
Rain Rain Go Away
Luckily, the rain stopped for an hour-just enough time for the matches to take place.

The APRICOT PAJAMAS had better things to do, or maybe it was the rain. They ended up not showing, so the CONSENSUAL SETS took the forfeit.

The WILDCATS pulled out the victory over SNT. This was SNT’s first match loss of the season. They are still going to be the top ranked team heading into the playoffs. What a great game by the WILDCATS though. They lost the first game 15-11. But came back in the next three winning 15-12, 15-11, and 15-12. These playoffs are going to be exciting!

Consensual Sets Win Championship
Congratulations to the CONSENSUAL SETS for winning the championship! Their night started in the semifinals, playing the WILDCATS. The SETS won the first game 15-11. The WILDCATS returned the favor-winning 15-10. The next two games would go to the SETS 15-9 and 15-13 to take the victory.

In the other semifinal, SNT-the regular season champs, swept the APRICOT PAJAMAS 3-0. They would advance to the championship.

In the chipper, game one would go to the SETS. It was a close game, but the SETS pulled it off 15-13. The SETS would win the second game 15-11 to take a demanding 2-0 lead in the series. Not to be denied, SNT would battle back to win game three 15-10. The game must have gotten under the SETS’s skin, because they would dominate game four, winning 15-4 to win the series 3-1.

Thanks for the great season. Summer leagues are right around the corner!
