Fall 2015 Tuesday Recreational Basketball @ DU

BACO’S TRICEP DAY opened the season off with a ten-point win over I’M TALKING ABOUT PRACTICE. Grant K. was the player of the game, leading his team to victory.

HOOSIER DADDY defeated EKS&H by nine. EKS&H is coming off a pretty successful summer season; they took second place in the summer. But that was last season. DADDY definitely put a target on their back as a team to not mess with. AJ H. got player of the game honors.

STROKE CITY had the most dominating win, taking down PUB ON PEARL. Kevin P. was player of the game. The big win has put them in the first place slot after the first week.

CHARLES OAKLEY’S FLAT TOP returned for another season. They took on another regular, FOODS THAT START WITH Q. These two foes have a long history in the league. Mauricio was the player of the game, leading FLAT TOP to the seven point victory.

CHARLES OAKLEY’S FLAT TOP took down EKS&H by a wide margin. FLAT TOP was really on their game. The win put them above .500 for the first time of the season. EKS&H is (0-3) but there’s still a lot of season left.

I’M TALKING ABOUT PRACTICE beat AGENTS LIBRES by twenty points. Their suffocating defense was too much for the new squad. It was the first win of the season for PRACTICE. AGENTS are still winless.

BACO’S TRICEP DAY never got off track, with another victory. Q FOODS gave them a good game, but it wasn’t enough. BTD is now (3-0) and Q FOODS are (1-2).

In the last game, HOOSIER DADDY took down PUB ON PEARL. HOOSIER DADDY improves to (3-0) and PUB ON PEARL is (1-2).

STROKE CITY and CHARLES OAKLEY’S FLAT TOP went at it on Tuesday. Both teams have winning records, so it had the foundation for a good game. Both teams went back and forth but neither team could pull out the victory. The tie keeps both teams at third and fourth place in the standings.

In the second game, I’M TALKING ABOUT PRACTICE was able keep the lead through the end of the game over the hungry EKS&H. It hasn’t been the best season for EKS&H as they are still winless. PRACTICE improves to (2-2) and in fifth place.

Scott C led HOOSIER DADDY over Q FOODS. HD is still undefeated and in first place with their (5-0) record. They will get to rest next week. Q FOODS drop to (1-4) on the year.

In the last game, PUB ON PEARL took down the AGENTS LIBRES. The AGENTS had a much better game than their game last week. The Fab Four took turns leading the way for the PUB. They are now (2-2) and in sixth place. The AGENTS are (0-4).

Hurry up and register for the Zombie Kickball Tournament on October 25, 2015 at Barnum Park. There will be prizes for the best costumes as well as a pig roast at the Classic Tavern after the game.

Two (2-3) teams played to start the Tuesday night off. Pub on Pearl didn’t waste any time with I’m Talking About Practice! Pub on Pearl took the twenty-two point victory and added it to their record to become (3-3). Practice didn’t drop very far, as they are still in sixth place.

In the second game, Stroke City rose to the occasion against previously undefeated Baco’s Tricep Day. Both teams are top notch teams in the league, so a loss isn’t the worst thing in the world. But today, it was Stroke City that would take the eight-point victory. They are still in fourth place with a (4-1-1) record. Baco drops to second place with a (5-1) record. They will be taking on undefeated Hoosier Daddy next week.

The third game was the much awaiting matchup between EKS&H and Agents Libres. Both teams came into the contest without a win. The game lived up to the hype, coming down to the last minutes when EKS&H took the victory. The win was huge, as only the top 8 teams will make the playoffs. Agents Libres will have to take down Stroke City if they’re going to get that 8th seed.

For the last game, we had Q Foods and Hoosier Daddy. Q Foods were pretty low on players to start the match, and it even had fewer after one went down with an injury. With only four players for Q Foods, Hoosier Daddy decided that they would keep it fair and only play with four. Sportsmanship at its best. In the end, it was Hoosier Daddy keeping their perfect season alive with the twelve point victory. Q Foods drops to seventh at (2-5).

The opening round of the playoffs got underway. It was a tough day for most of the teams, as all but one of them got mercy ruled. The number one seeded Hoosier Daddy defeated EKS&H by thirty points to advance to the semifinals. The fifth seeded Pub On Pearl upset the fourth seeded Baco’s Tricep Day by thirty points. BTD started the season off with a (5-0) record, but lost the last three games and are now done. POP will advance to play Hoosier Daddy next week.

Number two seeded Stroke City then put thirty points on Foods That Start With Q. Stroke City is really playing some good ball since their tie with Charles Oakley’s Flat Top more than a month ago. They have rolled through every game.

Charles Oakley’s Flat Top is also playing some good ball. They also haven’t lost or tied since their tie with Stroke City. Flat Top defeated I’m Talking About Practice to advance to the semifinals. It was the closest game of the night, only eight points. Flat Top and Stroke City will play each other in the second semifinal game next week!
