O’Reilly’s Donut and Autoshop pulled a fast one on everybody! Formerly known as the Geri Hat Tricks, the franchise switched ownership and was renamed. The No Regretzkies figured that they were going up against an inexperienced team, so they decided to let some of the players take the day off and rest. O’Reilly’s jumped to a 2-0 lead, but the No Regretzkies answered making it 2-2. But then O’Reilly’s scored two more goals to make it 4-2. The Regretzkies pulled their goalie for one last effort, but they were unable to find the net.

In the second game, the short handed teamed Die Hards took on the new free agent team, Do It On the Floor. The Die Hards only had 4 players. Teams must have at least 3 players to avoid a forfeit. The Die Hards then pulled some intraleague players from the first game-which is also legal, since Sports Monster does whatever it takes to prevent forfeits. But the Die Hards had a female sub and DIOTF did not, so the female sub was sent home.

Once the teams were fair, the game was pretty balanced. The Die Hards scored some goals and so did DOITF. DOITF have a few ex hockey players, so their stick handling is very good, but not entirely kosher for our league. The stick head can never go above the belly button. In the end, the Die Hards took the win with a 9-5 score.
